I would like to talk about my grandma who had passed away at age 92 in 1994 when I was about 17 years old. Grandma was born in 1902; she and my grandpa had owned a small business for selling dairy products to feed 9 children, and my mother is the youngest one. During the period of the Cultural Revolution, grandma had lost her husband, my grandpa, lost one child, one of my ants, and also lost her dairy business. Since then she had been lived at home in the rest of her life.
As a person who experienced the most turbulent age of this country and suffered those unthinkable tribulations, something could be considered admirable were shown in my grandma's personality, such as inner peace and positive philosophy of life, which have stuck in my mind over the years.
My grandma had lived with us all along, I mean lived with my parents and I, and in my memory, she had got angry just only twice. The first time that I realized that "Oh my God, grandma could be angry" was when I was about 5 or 6 years old. That day, grandma and I went to a market to buy some vegetables for preparing supper. The market was crowded, and people lined-up to wait for service, so did we. When it was finally our turn after a very long time waiting, somehow the salesman turned to serve another people. Therefore grandma lost her temper, and severely blamed the salesman for breaking rules and indifference to the elderly. Another time that grandma had got angry because of a sort of family affairs.
